Justice Delayed is Justice Denied, Decision of Palestinian Leadership and International Pressure an Insult to the Victims
Yesterday, 2 October 2009, the Palestinian leadership, under heavy international pressure lead by the United States, deferred the draft proposal at the Human Rights Council endorsing all the recommendations of the UN Fact Finding Mission (the Goldstone Report). This deferral denies the Palestinian peoples? right to an effective judicial remedy and the equal protection of the law. It represents the triumph of politics over human rights. It is an insult to all victims and a rejection of their rights.
The crimes documented in the report of the UN Fact Finding Mission represent the most serious violations of international law; Justice Goldstone concluded that there was evidence to indicate that crimes against humanity may have been committed in the Gaza Strip. Violations of international law continue to this day, inter alia, through the continuing Israeli-imposed illegal blockade of the Gaza Strip. The findings of the Mission confirmed earlier investigations conducted by independent Palestinian, Israeli and international organizations.
Israel?s propagandists shoot themselves in the foot as they shoot off their mouths

If you have ever visited a blog or on-line discussion group on the Middle East you have doubtless had the misfortune to run into them.
They are known by the language they use: depraved sexual insults, bile, bigotry, threats, disinformation and character assassination. That?s right: I?m talking about ?hasbarats,? Zionist trolls who infect the Internet with hasbara, pro-Israel propaganda. Of course, mainstream media hasbarats have been around for decades, as have ?hasbaratchiks,? fifth-columns in foreign governments who subvert national policies to serve Israel. The Internet, though, is the latest, some might say the greatest, propaganda playground, and Israel cannot cope with factual, passionate, well-documented stories that expose its war crimes and unrepentant criminality.
At around 11:00am, an Israeli military Jeep broke through the entrance of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam school yard. IOF Soldiers proceeded to terrorize the students by throwing tear gas and deliberately running over Fuad Mahmoud Nayef Turkmen (17 years). His brother and colleagues watched on in horror as the jeep dragged him 25 metres and out of the school compound.
Several students fell unconscious after breathing the tear gas, and they were transferred to hospital for medical treatment. Some students collapsed after seeing the criminal murder of their colleague; among them was his Mahdi, who had a nervous breakdown.
Mohammed Nayef, Turkman?s uncle, who is a teacher at the same school, said that he saw the Israeli military jeep break into the school yard driving fast towards a group of students. The jeep ran over ?Turkman? with all four wheels, and then backed up and drove over him again and dragged him some distance. He added that the IDF soldiers did not allow them to get to Fuad for about 15 minutes. The victim was transferred to the hospital in Jenin, but he died soon after his arrival.
[The town of Yabad is south-west of Jenin in the West Bank, which is nominally under the control of the Palestinian Authority and its ?security? groups, which are lead and directed by the American Lt. Gen. Keith Dayton].
